James Kennedy accused of throwing woman ‘to the ground’ in incident that led to domestic violence arrest

More information has been revealed about the alleged incident that led to the arrest of James Kennedy at a former Vanderpump Rules domestic’s home. charge of violence tuesday evening

The Burbank Police Daily Arrest Log reported that an officer spoke with both Kennedy and a woman that night inside a residence after receiving a 9-1-1 call, according to TMZ.

While there, the woman, whose name has not been released, told investigators that she had been picked up by her boyfriend and that he had thrown her to the ground.

Police at the scene said they saw no visible injuries on the alleged victim, but arrested Kennedy for felony domestic assault on a wife/roommate.

Officers were initially called to the residence on reports that Kennedy had argued with the woman and took her away.

Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, who was not named in police records, had attended a party hosted by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton at her home earlier that night.

More information has come to light regarding the arrest of James Kennedy on a domestic violence charge on Tuesday. Burbank police officers say they were told Kennedy picked up the reported victim and threw her to the ground, according to TMZ (pictured in Los Angeles on Dec. 10)

At this time, there has been no confirmation that Lewber was the reported victim.

He was released after posting $20,000 bail, according to police records.

Kennedy’s attorney, Scott Leeman, tried to downplay the seriousness of the incident, telling the publication, “It is our understanding that there were no injuries and we hope that, after careful consideration, the city attorney will decide not to file formal charges.”

On Thursday, lawyers for Kennedy’s ex-fiancée Rachel Leviss, 30, issued a statement blaming Bravo, NBC and Evolution, the companies that produce and distribute Vanderpump Rules, for turning a blind eye to the DJ’s behavior.

“We are aware of the recent arrest of James Kennedy for domestic violence,” the statement read Variety.

“This news is unfortunately not surprising. Rachel’s lawsuit (against former VPR stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix) describes in significant detail Mr. Kennedy’s long history of erratic, violent behavior and substance abuse.”

“However, equally troubling is the fact that NBC and Evolution (Vanderpump Rules’ production company), who knew of Mr. Kennedy’s troubling behavior, engaged in a multi-year cover-up on his behalf. And they bear the responsibility.

In her 2020 book, He’s Making You Crazy: How to Get the Guy, Get Even, and Get Over It, Kennedy’s ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute, 41, wrote about a former relationship without naming the partner.

The Valley star described the troubled relationship as verbally abusive, adding “And then it escalated. Broken furniture, broken picture frames, slamming doors and holes in my wall. Once that line was crossed, it was only a matter of time before they got their hands on it I: pushing, shoving and physical restraint.’

On Thursday, after news of Kennedy’s arrest broke, the reality star, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Luke Broderick, 33, posted a screenshot of the TMZ article and wrote “FINALLY” on he.

Real Housewives stars Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge reported on an altercation they witnessed in a limo between Kennedy and Lewber earlier this year on Popping Off podcast, claiming the argument turned physical.
