Pair sentenced for killing man in Las Vegas hotel room robbery

The two women accused of killing a man in a Las Vegas Strip hotel room last year are scheduled to be sentenced in early 2025.

Erika Covington and Arionna Taylor face multiple charges, including open murder, following the 2023 incident.

Court records show the pair pleaded guilty in November and will be sentenced on January 23, 2024.

Investigators say officers received reports of a man who does not answerfound in a room on Las Vegas Boulevard near Tropicana Boulevard just before noon on Monday, May 15.

He was pronounced dead at the scene after being found suffering from a gunshot wound. He has been identified as 25-year-old Bryan Altamirano-Solano.

An investigation revealed that the man entered his Caesars Palace room with the two women around 2:36 a.m. About ten minutes later, the two women were seen fleeing the area with his belongings.

They were to be found and taken into custody by the Criminal Apprehension Squad.

Both Covington and Taylorspoke to the police following their arrest, where they claimed not to remember the events of that day, but did not deny meeting the man.

Both remain in custody without bond at the Clark County Detention Center.
