However, it was reported this weekend that Foxx was injured in a situation where a bottle was thrown in his face. Apparently the incident was part of an alleged altercation at the restaurant. Now, a rep for Foxx is providing an update on the star following the situation.

The Ray alum reportedly stepped out with loved ones on Friday night as the group grabbed a meal at the popular Mr. Chow from Beverly Hills. Conformable TMZpolice were called to the location around 10:00 p.m. local time due to an alleged fight at the location. Early on, an assault report was said to have been taken, and a witness claimed the aforementioned Oscar winner was injured. Now, according to a statement from the A-lister’s rep, he is currently recovering:

Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in the hands of law enforcement.

TMZ also spoke to a witness to the incident who claimed that customers at one of the restaurant’s tables were rude to Jamie Foxx. According to this unnamed individual, Foxx apparently tried to reason with customers, asking them to stop being rude because of his family’s presence. This is allegedly when someone at the table threw the glass into the Dreamgirls alum’s mouth. At the time of writing, authorities have not provided any further statements regarding the incident.

It is noted by the news station that this is not the first time that the They Cloned star Tyrone has frequented Mr Chow in recent times. The site’s reporters caught up with him there earlier this week as he celebrates the release of his new special. As the multi-wife’s rep noted, he’s celebrating his birthday (which is on December 13) this time around. When it comes to his entourage, TMZ captured photos of Corinne and Anelise Foxx — Jamie’s two daughters — at the restaurant as well.

It looks like Jamie Foxx has been popping champagne and celebrating, thanks to his new comedy special, What Had Happened Was. The production, which is available to Netflix subscribers, sees the star discuss a multitude of topics, including the medical situation that has captured much of the public’s attention in 2023.
