An unidentified man is wanted for sexually assaulting a stranger at a TTC station on the city’s west side early Saturday morning.

Toronto police say officers responded to a sexual assault call in the area of ​​Keele St. and Bloor St. around 1:40 a.m.

“The victim and suspect were reported to be inside the Keele TTC subway station on the westbound platform,” Const. Shannon Eames said.

She said the man allegedly assaulted the victim, pulled her to the ground, then sexually assaulted her.

“A witness interrupted the attack and the suspect fled the area on foot,” Eames said, explaining that the woman suffered “minor injuries.”

“The victim and the suspect are not known to each other,” she added.

Police are looking for a man who is described as 1.5 meters tall, with a medium to heavy build and brown facial hair. He was wearing a green/beige jacket, black jeans, black running shoes, a black hooded sweatshirt with a “Toronto Raptors” logo and a purple baseball hat with a yellow brim and a “Minnesota Vikings” logo on the front.

Investigators have released a security camera image of a suspect, hoping members of the public will recognize him and come forward.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to call the Sex Crimes Unit at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
