72-year-old woman killed after being hit by car as family pay emotional tribute saying ‘life will never be the same’

The family of a woman who was killed after being hit by a car have paid emotional tributes to her.

Lin Donnelly, 72, died in a road traffic collision on the border between Bootle and Kirkdale, Liverpoolthursday evening

Emergency services were called to Brewster Street at 7.45pm to a collision involving a blue I see Focus and a pedestrian on Brewster Street.

Lin was taken to hospital where she sadly died a short time later.

Her family have now issued the following statement: “Words cannot describe the pain in our hearts at your unbearable loss.

“Our lives will never be the same without you.”

A 46-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by negligence driving.

He was interviewed and released on bail pending further enquiries.
