Rockland man arrested for burglary and theft

ROCKLAND — A 32-year-old Rockland man was arrested on multiple charges of burglary and theft, according to the Rockland Police Department.

Clifford Dumont was arrested Nov. 21 on three counts of theft, one count of theft, three counts of criminal mischief, three counts of criminal mischief and violation of conditions. of release.

Dumont was released the next day on unsecured bond with a preliminary bond in Maine.

However, it was later discovered that Dumont had provided false information about his residence, resulting in him breaching his bail conditions.

Rockland Police requested and received a new warrant for Dumont’s arrest for this violation.

On December 9, Rockland Police received a report of a theft at a local merchant.

After reviewing surveillance footage, officers identified Dumont as the suspect.

On December 10, police located and arrested Dumont on the outstanding warrant and additional theft charges related to the shoplifting incident.
