Fatal motorcycle crash in Spartanburg leaves one dead

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reports that a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday night left one person dead.

SCHP reports there was a motorcycle accident on Cedar Crest Road near Compton Road around 8:35 p.m.

According to troopers, a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Cedar Crest Road when it went off the road to the left and struck a tree.

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Cliff Julian Case Jr., 58, of Primrose Drive in Spartanburg and listed his time of death as 8:49 p.m.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
