A man attacks a woman who refused to meet him

POLICE in Tamil Nadu have arrested a man who brutally attacked a woman who refused to meet him, Malaysia Nanban reported.

According to news reports, the accused, Siddiq Raja, had harassed the young woman who worked at a photocopy shop in the Indian city of Madurai, asking her to become his girlfriend.

On Sunday, the 25-year-old man appeared at her workplace again, but the woman refused to speak to him.

Enraged, Siddiq started hitting the woman until she fell unconscious and then ran away.

Shopkeepers and workers in the neighborhood rushed to help the woman and sent her to the hospital.

With the help of CCTV footage, the police were able to track down and arrest the assailant and his friend who was present during the attack.
