Today’s forecast: Sunny and pleasant!

WEST MICHIGAN — FOX 17 Meteorologist Reece Cole’s forecast: High pressure overhead will begin to dry out over the weekend, but rain chances increase Saturday night into Sunday with the next system. Clouds will increase Saturday afternoon, but we’ll stay dry during the day with highs still above average in the upper 50s. Showers arrive Saturday evening and linger into Sunday as the next low pressure system moves into the northern Great Lakes. Accumulation totals below 0.25″ are widespread. There are no cold air intrusions in the forecast for the next few days, so our high temperatures will generally remain above the normal/average high of 51 degrees. TODAY: Some morning sun, otherwise clouds gradually thicken throughout the day. Chance of showers after 22:00. Highs in the upper 50s. East-southeast wind 5 to 15 mph.

SIT DOWN: Cloudy with showers after midnight. Lows in the mid to upper 40s. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY: Showers likely in the early morning with a chance of showers in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy sky. Highs around 60 degrees.

MONDAY: Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers. Highs in the mid 50s.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny, with highs in the low/mid 50s.
