Patriots missing 2 players at practice Wednesday before Bears game – Boston Herald

FOXBORO — Patriots safety Kyle Dugger and running back JaMycal Hasty were the only players absent from Wednesday’s practice.

Dugger did not play in last weekend’s loss at Tennessee because of a lingering ankle injury. In his place, the Pats started Jaylinn Hawkins and Marte Mapu, while undrafted rookie Dell Pettus came off the bench. In six games this season, Dugger has 35 tackles, two pass deflections, a sack and a forced fumble.

Hasty, runner no. 3 of the Patriots, has seen an increase in playing time over the past four weeks. In that span, Hasty rushed six times for 10 yards and caught seven passes for 55 yards and a score.

The Pats practiced in full pads on Wednesday for the first time on the field as they prepare for Sunday’s game at Chicago. Before practice, coach Jerod Mayo emphasized bringing a sense of urgency.

The team will release the first injury report on Wednesday evening.
