Lexington Police are investigating the shooting incident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Police are investigating a shooting incident in Lexington Monday afternoon.

They say the call came in around 2 a.m. from a person who claimed shots were being fired near the intersection of Alexandria Drive and Darien Drive.

Police say two cars may have been involved.

However, the person left the scene before officers could gather more information and has not been contacted since.

Officers found shell casings on Alexandria Drive.

Further details of the incident remain unclear as the investigation continues.
