Emergency services attended the scene of the crash between bus and car in Limerick – The Irish Times

Emergency services are attending the scene of the crash in Ballylanders, Com. Limerick after a car and a bus carrying children were involved in a collision this afternoon.

Several ambulances, police and two helicopters are at the scene.

A number of people are understood to have been injured, including at least one person who was seriously injured.

Shannon Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 115 was tasked with it, but was later called off.

One person suffering from a serious head injury was taken by the National Ambulance Service air ambulance from the scene to Cork University Hospital.

Four others are believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
